Our Mission

Lectura’s mission is to provide children with experiences that lay a foundation for reading in English and Spanish through the Montessori framework. We believe that children learn to read naturally and organically when reading is integrated into every facet of the classroom. Our program is designed to allow children to flow through a sequence of Montessori activities that develop: letter sound recognition, phonics, and word building that lead to fluent reading.

 

Children grow at a unique pace and have unique interests and we respect both. Their individual development is observed and documented. Above all, the goal for our children is that they are in an environment that allows them to love to learn.
